Really itneresting! :)
I’m a mac user, I use mac everyday for many hours .. but when I installed latest Ubuntu (10.04) I said ‘wow!’.
The look and feel is really gorgeous!
It’s better than osx in my opinion :)
I would switch but .. I haven’t still found a good editor in Linux :(
Try it! :)
On my mac I have VMWare Fusion installed with two virtual machines, one windows xp and one linux xubuntu.
I would like to boot xubuntu VM from an ISO but the bios splash screen is really fast on VMWare :)
So I found this trick to force the VM to enter in BIOS configuration.
Go to the VM file, show package content, edit the file .vmx adding this line:
bios.forceSetupOnce = “TRUE”
That’s all! On the next boot the VM will go into the BIOS configuration .. useful! :)
— It’s really stupid! Why install a ruby gem if I can’t use it because you used others gems and you didn’t specify dependencies?!? I have to look at the code! It’s really stupid!
I really like this tool! It’s useful and confortable, I’m a bit afraid of ‘google dependence’ .. but they offer really useful tools and there aren’t alternatives (or they are worst)
Hi all!
I became mac user in 2005, I really like macs and today arrived the last one!
The new Mac Book Pro 17” :D
I decided to customize it with Intel Core i7, with 7200 rpm hard disk and with anti glare monitor.
I have just unboxed it so I can’t say anything about that, I’ll tell you anything in the near future. Now I have to set it up (a quite boring thing), but honestly my old one (another mbp 17”) is quite un-usable and also during day-to-day operations is quite slow :(
I had some problem to find how to track the shipping, but at the end I found it in a forum!
My mac was shipped with TNT and I suppose yours too, so to track your pack you can paste this address in the browser and put in the end the shipping number (arrived by email from Apple): http://www.tnt.com/webtracker/tracking.do?respLang=en&respCountry=GENERIC&genericSiteIdent=.&searchType=REF&cons=
:)
You must see this.
A nice reading about string escaping in Rails3. I knew that all string are escaped in Rails3 but I didn’t get that also the output of helpers will be. It does make sense :)
